The initial one I recieved was badly damaged and it took several emails to have one more 1 sent. Although this mailbox is nicer than your normal box it really is too expensive. I was disapointed that the trim on the front lid is just a plastic piece you attach oneself. I was assuming it was a 1 piece stamped metal lid. Also, what I believed was an oval brass accent on the lid is just another piece of plastic you stick on. The worth is just not there. I would'nt purchase this if I had seen one in person. I spent too much time seeking for just the best mailbox. This was a superb price. Picture accurately represents the color. Ideal seeking mailbox on the block. Only difficulty we had was in delivery- initially the firm (not Amazon) mailed the box to an individual else in another state ?*! I don't genuinely understand how all of the confusion occurred on their end, however it took nearly a month just before we in fact received our order. (More...)

Ok, in the finish of the day, we are extremely happy with this item. But it was a painful path. Initial off, this huge heavy box ships with ZERO directions. Nada. You've to go to the dVault Web website, download a PDF, and print it out. Properly, we happened to be at a web site with no World wide web and no printer. To ensure that added a thirty-minute roundtrip house to the effort. Then if you get the PDF, you will find ZERO diagrams. Just vague text like "The wall-mount unit ought to be correctly framed and anchored to the structure (proper framing could consist of the following: square, level, shims, and so on)." Properly, that "etc." included about 4 hours of work on our portion, and we wound up drilling new holes within the sheet metal to create it all work. (More Detail...)

We installed this at our residence almost four years ago. There had been a great deal of mail thefts in our location. This nonetheless looks new following all these years and works excellent. The mailman can leave packages inside the bottom and mail within the best. We don't need to worry about somebody taking the mail or specifically packages if they were left out in the open at the door. We were a bit hesitant to buy as a result of the cost, but right after 4 years of hot arizona sun, the finish is still in excellent condition. (Read More...)

Ok, at the end of the day, we are very happy with this product. But it was a painful path.

First off, this big heavy box ships with ZERO instructions. Nada. You have to go to the dVault Web site, download a PDF, and print it out. Well, we happened to be at a site with no Internet and no printer. So that added a thirty-minute roundtrip home to the effort.
