I ordered this mailbox for it's great classic looks and sturdy construction. Regrettably, I didn't realize that it would make my mail wet and crumpled. I live in a very rainy location, and the rain somehow often gets inside and gets all of my mail wet. Plus, the way the slot is situated, the mailperson constantly ends up jamming all of my mail into the slot and it gets all crushed. I was better off with my old clunky, ugly, but effiecient box. Now, even though the front of my house looks much better, I have crumpled crushed wet mail.

We have had a secure logic mail vault for 6 years now and just purchased an additional from Amazon. Mail is delivered, even mail order prescriptions and packages, directly into this Extremely secure box. We had a mail theft 9 years ago that truly designed a mess. 6 months ago some 1 attempted quite tough to obtain onto our mail vault. They in no way got towards the mail, they only were able to trip the internal bolts permanently locking ALL OUT. (considerably like your bank vault or Rhino secure would do)and they were in no way in a position to get in. They did damage the lock and we had to have a locksmith open the box for us to obtain our mail. I would not be with no this secure mail box with all of the mail thefts available! It actually is peace of mind in mail delivery.
