I ordered this mailbox for it's great classic looks and sturdy construction. Regrettably, I didn't realize that it would make my mail wet and crumpled. I live in a very rainy location, and the rain somehow often gets inside and gets all of my mail wet. Plus, the way the slot is situated, the mailperson constantly ends up jamming all of my mail into the slot and it gets all crushed. I was better off with my old clunky, ugly, but effiecient box. Now, even though the front of my house looks much better, I have crumpled crushed wet mail. (More Detail...)
