My mailbox was installed easily over a 4x4 that was sunk into a plastic lined hole which was then filled with significant gravel and red clay soil for security. It turned out that the rear door was not required given that the box was installed at an angle to the driveway. My only problem is that the mail individual slams the door soon after putting in the mail and I am afraid that it will not withstand considerably of that remedy. The door goes into the box as the framing is shallow. I've not been at house at delivery time so have not been able to request that the door not be closed so firmly! (Review More...)
