My mailbox was installed easily over a 4x4 that was sunk into a plastic lined hole which was then filled with significant gravel and red clay soil for security. It turned out that the rear door was not required given that the box was installed at an angle to the driveway. My only problem is that the mail individual slams the door soon after putting in the mail and I am afraid that it will not withstand considerably of that remedy. The door goes into the box as the framing is shallow. I've not been at house at delivery time so have not been able to request that the door not be closed so firmly! (Review More...)

The speed of shipping this item was wonderful, but when I received it I opened it and discovered a loose screw inside the package, and also the hinge pin was coming out about 3/4" on one end. I realigned the hinge and tapped the hinge pin back in and it looked okay, except for a depression in the leading black plastic component of the mailbox. Within the interior component of the mailbox, the locking door panel appears to have a huge gap on the base of the panel, the mail slot for delivering mail into is rather large also and I can place my hand inside very effortlessly. A childs' hand and arm or teenagers' could fit inside the incoming mailslot quite easily.... (Read More...)

We have had a secure logic mail vault for 6 years now and just purchased an additional from Amazon. Mail is delivered, even mail order prescriptions and packages, directly into this Extremely secure box. We had a mail theft 9 years ago that truly designed a mess. 6 months ago some 1 attempted quite tough to obtain onto our mail vault. They in no way got towards the mail, they only were able to trip the internal bolts permanently locking ALL OUT. (considerably like your bank vault or Rhino secure would do)and they were in no way in a position to get in. They did damage the lock and we had to have a locksmith open the box for us to obtain our mail. I would not be with no this secure mail box with all of the mail thefts available! Though this mailbox looks fantastic, it isn't secure. Right after taking the mailbox out of the package, my mother wanted to determine if it was achievable for an individual to stick their hand into the mail entry to touch the contents inside the box. To my amazement, she was not only in a position to get her hand inside but also her forearm to swipe and actually touch the bottom and every single corner of the mailbox! My mother is 5 feet tall and had no trouble touching the mailbox when I held it up to the advised height. I feel that the bottom portion of the box is too shallow compared towards the best entry portion. I have returned this item. (More Detail...)

We enjoy our new mailbox - we think it's now the best within the neighborhood (a matter of taste). Even though we needed to obtain a replacement component (a screw for the misaligned hole inside the finial), this went so smoothly we had been nicely surprised. Their customer service sent us the entire finial kit swiftly, so the impression concerning the product along with the business is now even much better. The color is gorgeous (we chose the bronze finish with white bronze trim). It goes well with our contemporary beige residence. The only issue is we can not come across contrasting numbers to put on the post that would match the style, finish, and quality. (Review More...)

The initial one I recieved was badly damaged and it took several emails to have one more 1 sent. Although this mailbox is nicer than your normal box it really is too expensive. I was disapointed that the trim on the front lid is just a plastic piece you attach oneself. I was assuming it was a 1 piece stamped metal lid. Also, what I believed was an oval brass accent on the lid is just another piece of plastic you stick on. The worth is just not there. I would'nt purchase this if I had seen one in person. I spent too much time seeking for just the best mailbox. This was a superb price. Picture accurately represents the color. Ideal seeking mailbox on the block. Only difficulty we had was in delivery- initially the firm (not Amazon) mailed the box to an individual else in another state ?*! I don't genuinely understand how all of the confusion occurred on their end, however it took nearly a month just before we in fact received our order. (More...)

Ok, in the finish of the day, we are extremely happy with this item. But it was a painful path. Initial off, this huge heavy box ships with ZERO directions. Nada. You've to go to the dVault Web website, download a PDF, and print it out. Properly, we happened to be at a web site with no World wide web and no printer. To ensure that added a thirty-minute roundtrip house to the effort. Then if you get the PDF, you will find ZERO diagrams. Just vague text like "The wall-mount unit ought to be correctly framed and anchored to the structure (proper framing could consist of the following: square, level, shims, and so on)." Properly, that "etc." included about 4 hours of work on our portion, and we wound up drilling new holes within the sheet metal to create it all work. (More Detail...)
