We installed this at our residence almost four years ago. There had been a great deal of mail thefts in our location. This nonetheless looks new following all these years and works excellent. The mailman can leave packages inside the bottom and mail within the best. We don't need to worry about somebody taking the mail or specifically packages if they were left out in the open at the door. We were a bit hesitant to buy as a result of the cost, but right after 4 years of hot arizona sun, the finish is still in excellent condition. (Read More...)

Ok, at the end of the day, we are very happy with this product. But it was a painful path.

First off, this big heavy box ships with ZERO instructions. Nada. You have to go to the dVault Web site, download a PDF, and print it out. Well, we happened to be at a site with no Internet and no printer. So that added a thirty-minute roundtrip home to the effort.

Then when you get the PDF, there are ZERO diagrams. Just vague text like "The wall-mount unit must be properly framed and anchored to the structure (proper framing may include the following: square, level, shims, etc)." Well, that "etc." included about four hours of work on our part, and we wound up drilling new holes in the sheet metal to make it all work. (More...)

We got this mailbox to replace the Special Lite Town Square mailbox that was destroyed by a car running down the cluster of mailboxes at the end of our road. We ordered the Savannah this time because it was a little bigger and we thought it would be better for journals and packages. It just arrived and I have to say, the quality is not nearly as good as the Town Square. First of all, it is not cast aluminum like the Town Square was. The door is cast aluminum. The box itself is typical bent sheeting of, I'm hoping, aluminum (and not steel that will rust). It is fairly thick, not thin and easily bendable like cheaper boxes. Looked around a great deal for any nice securing mailbox for any house warming gift for my boy & daughter-in-law. Personally an internet-based I saw several wall-hung securing mail boxes that were not attractive (or were completely hideous), and many attractive ones that were not secure. From the lot, it was probably the most promising. Also it wasn't as insanely costly as numerous. Purchased it through Amazon . com, and stored my fingers entered. It showed up inside a reasonable period of time and was well-packed. It is pretty. I purchased the antique copper finish (thinking it might match the slate trim on the home) and it is perfect. It's good weight into it---not flimsy whatsoever. It's a good-sized spot for mail, having a nice large flap for that mail company. It appears great on the house, and on top of that they like it---and they are even harder to impress than I'm! After it absolutely was up for any couple of days, I been there simultaneously because the mail-company, and she or he stated it is a good design from her point of view too---large enough for small packages, and also the opening opens and shuts easily & safely.
